MG Design Awarded Best of MOD and Best Extrusion-based Design
MG Design Associates is pleased to announce being named Best of MOD on behalf of client Riverain at RSNA 2010. The prestigious Best of MOD award recognizes excellence in portable modular exhibit design.

The 11th Annual MOD Awards ceremony at Exhibitor2011 in Las Vegas was hosted by Abex and Exhibit City News. MG Design Associates was a finalist in the Best Extrusion-based Design category. A panel of design industry judges and more than 300 exhibit and event industry professionals took part in selecting the winner. MG Design was chosen winner in the Best Extrusion-based Design category and then selected overall Best of MOD winner.

“It was an honor to be chosen by the industry and our peers to win the esteemed award of Best of MOD at such a prestigious event,” said Rob Majerowski, vice president of creative, MG Design Associates. “On behalf of our creative team and our client, Riverain, we appreciate the comments made by the panel of judges about the project. They really understood our objectives and spoke favorably about the strategy we took to achieve our goals.”

“Working with Octonorm’s system for the Riverain exhibit allowed us to maximize the height of the exhibit structure,” said Munis Oomatia, designer, MG Design. “Pushing the exhibit height allowed Riverain to stand tall against their biggest competitors on RSNA’s large showfloor. Using Octonorm as a skeleton to this exhibit was an effective way to go high and allow the branding to really stand out.”

About Riverain Medical at RSNA 2010
Riverain Medical introduced a new exhibit at RSNA 2010 that emphasized the company’s newest product combination, InUnison. MG Design created a high-tech experience around a safari theme “Your guide to early detection” designed to reinforce the company’s message that their products help radiologists detect lung cancers not visible on traditional scans.

The rental exhibit’s layout was angled to face a RSNA lunch area where attendees sat throughout the day. Riverain Medical’s 12-person theater presentation was visible – and audible – from the sitting area which helped amp up overall impressions. Attendees used 46" vertically hung touchscreens to detect animals hidden within safari images, an analogy for how Riverain products help uncover hidden cancers. From a lion hidden in a field of tall waving grass to a crocodile camouflaged in a swamp, the animals were virtually invisible.

Aluminum extrusions were used to make the exhibit lightweight and easy to transport. Using 10X10X10 hanging fabric pillowcased signage, a high level of branding was achieved for the Riverain's product brands. Keeping the exhibit modular, it will be easy to grow this exhibit configuration in the future after this year’s success.

The striking new exhibit and interactive experience resonated extremely well with radiologists throughout the event. RSNA is a crucial event for Riverain Medical so the new exhibit is definitely a success when their VP of Sales ends the show by saying leads were up 30% and “this is the best booth we've ever had.”
